The KAISHI jacket by People of Shibuya x MINI was developed through a careful analysis of the design DNA of both brands, with the aim of creating a product rich in authentic content.
The resulting jacket is a true “3-in-1” garment, consisting of a technical, rainproof outer shell and a comfortable inner layer, designed to be worn separately or combined. This multifunctional approach reflects the dynamic and functional characteristics of both brands, capable of accompanying the wearer from urban fashion environments to outdoor adventures.
The choice of the external “deep blue” color represents the urban soul of People of Shibuya, while the color palette of the inner layer recalls the carefully selected color combinations of MINI’s iconic interiors.
Every detail pays tribute to the MINI world: the distinctive MINI design lines, the snap button inspired by a wheel rim, the laser-cut Union Jack ventilation on the sides, carbon-look zippers echoing the dashboard texture, racing lines on the back, and finally the reflective bands inside the padded layer, inspired by functional road-safety elements.
