People of Shibuya, a menswear and womenswear brand defined by a minimal and versatile aesthetic, has always drawn inspiration from dynamism and energy, presenting garments with a highly technical and functional style.
Starting from the Autumn–Winter 2022 season, the brand moves away from the non-colors traditionally associated with the performance world, embracing a new path that highlights the perfect balance between technical innovation and color.
A styling approach designed for a young and contemporary audience takes shape, embodied by a crew of modern, multicultural individuals with a global outlook. They are the protagonists of the new People of Shibuya Autumn–Winter 22 campaign, captured through the lens of internationally renowned Italian photographer Oliviero Toscani.
His extraordinary creative talent enhances the contemporary character of the brand through images titled “Looking at People”:
“With this campaign, I tried to give People of Shibuya a current interpretation of the contemporary generation, avoiding clichés and stereotypes. In a way,” continues Oliviero Toscani, “it is a search for humanity carried out with respect and determination, documenting—through morphology—its contemporaneity and its historical moment. The People of Shibuya collection reflects this very contemporaneity. It would not have been possible with a ‘fashion’ brand that seeks consensus and quickly goes out of fashion.”
A spontaneous collaboration that led People of Shibuya to entrust the art direction of its campaign to Oliviero Toscani.
People of Shibuya is committed to creating no-season collections, thanks to garments featuring multiple removable, layered constructions. Comfort—the feeling of being at ease with oneself—is one of the core elements of the collections. Day after day, People of Shibuya invests in research and development to offer products designed and crafted to stand the test of time.
